It’s a partnership that has thrived in tandem with the most successful period in Australian Swimming.
Today, Swimming Australia is proud to announce a new four-year swimwear and team apparel extension with the market leader arena that will see the Dolphins through to the 2028 LA Olympics.
The deal pushes the long-standing partnership into an impressive second decade and reinforces arena’s commitment to Swimming Australia and its athletes at every level – from age group through to the international level.
It will be the third Games quadrant that Australian swimmers have worn the three-diamond brand after the partnership was formed post the Rio Olympics but which our very own Shane Gould, who won five individual Olympic medals in 1972, was an original ambassador for.
Today, Arena celebrated the next generation with the signing Olympic gold medallist Olivia Wunsch who over the past 12 months: claimed an Olympic gold medal as a heat swimmer for the 4x100m women’s relay team, completed her HSC and is now a global ambassador for arena
And just for good measure the teenager saw in the New Year by breaking an all-time great of Australian swimming’s 100m free record – Emma McKeon – by clocking 54 flat, shaving 0.11 off McKeon’s time that she set in 2013 for 18 years old age group.
“I am so excited to be representing such a renowned international and proven brand. I have grown up watching my idols compete in arena swimwear, so it’s a surreal feeling for me to now join the arena family.
“As I start the next chapter in my career and look towards LA, I’m looking forward to continuing my growth and taking my performance to the next level with arena.”_ said Olivia Wunsch.
Executive General Manager, Commercial – Jodie Hawkins said: “It’s a brand that has become synonymous with our successful Dolphins team. From Paris Dolphin debutant Olivia Wunsch through to the experienced Kyle Chalmers, arena has provided world-class technical support to our swimmers – as proven by the number of international medals won by our athletes.”
“This extension represents a strong endorsement for Swimming Australia, the continued growth of swimming at all levels and the amazing success of our athletes on the world stage. We are proud to be part of arena’s global strategy, and this partnership extension signifies the strength of the Dolphins on the international stage."
As the official apparel partner, arena will be worn by all Australian national teams in the lead-up to LA, and by Swimming Australia’s junior and youth squads across able and para programs.
“At Swimming Australia, we are committed to inspiring Australians through swimming and this announcement represents our dedication to inspiring the existing and next generation of talent on the runway to LA 2028.”

"We are extremely proud to extend our partnership with Swimming Australia,” said Peter Graschi, CEO of Arena. “It is very important for us to stand alongside the Dolphins, historically one of the strongest teams in the swimming world. Beyond their results in the pool, we are also proud to be the technical partner of a Federation that is very active in promoting swimming in a country where sport is not just a way to stay in shape, but it’s a true lifestyle.
As a global brand, our goal is to improve the quality of life for all by promoting and enabling an active lifestyle, both in and by the water, and Swimming Australia is a perfect partner to carry forward our message of promoting this sport”.
Additionally, arena and Swimming Australia are pleased to introduce the new Club Direct program. By joining the Club Direct program, registered clubs can access discounts on arena swimwear and apparel. Individual swimmers can also join the arena VIP Membership program to access a discounted rate on arena products.
