Authentic swimwear and accessories inspired by diversity, individuality and inclusivity
arena's hugely popular ‘Let It Beat’ capsule collection, launched in 2019 to mark the 50th anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City, returns to celebrate Pride Month around the world in June 2021. The eye-catching and colourful range of swimwear and accessories from the global sportswear brand was inspired by the individuality, creativity, diversity, inclusivity and authenticity of the LGBTQ+ community. The range features a beating heart design in six colours of the original and unmistakeable 8-colour rainbow flag created by Gilbert Baker in 1978, a hymn to freedom of expression and equality.
The pride designs run across a limited-edition collection of training suits, soft silicon swim caps and practical backpacks. The swimsuits are made with arena’s revolutionary MaxLife fabric to ensure comfort and durability and the collection is rounded out by a set of power fins with the six colours in irregular stripes. In the water, in our offices and in our stores, arena prides itself in welcoming everyone, regardless of their origins, level of athleticism, or lifestyle preferences. And we want to create an arena for everyone to express themselves through sport with freedom, comfort, style and confidence. As a global brand, arena is looking forward to cheering on Pride events around the world through June, including in NYC, Paris, Rome, Washington DC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dublin, Athens, Milan, Oslo, Lisbon, Barcelona, Sao Paulo, Tel Aviv, Mexico City and beyond – to name only a few!
arena's philosophy behind Let It Beat celebrates the colourful landscape of authenticity, individuality, diversity and freedom in sport, recognizing everyone no matter who we love, where we’re from or how we chose to express ourselves. We march to the beat of our own drum: for whomever or whatever your heart beats, LET IT BEAT.
The collection will be available for purchase through e-commerce channels in the USA and in Europe throughout June.
