Tolentino, 03/07/2026 arena is thrilled to announce the signing of a sponsorship agreement with Tunisian distance freestyle sensation, Ahmed Jaouadi.
Born in 2005, the young athlete rapidly burst into the global swimming scene. Thanks to his extraordinary performances in the long-distance freestyle events (400m, 800m, and 1500m), Jaouadi has firmly established himself as one of the most promising and pure talents in international swimming.
Following his breakthrough medals at the 2024 World Short Course Championships in Budapest—where he claimed the 1500m freestyle world title and a bronze in the 800m—Jaouadi dominated the field in the summer of 2025. At the World Championships in Singapore, he captured gold in both the 800m and 1500m freestyle, showcasing a decisive, clinical finish worthy of a true emerging superstar.
"Welcoming Ahmed to the arena team fills us with great pride," said Mark Pinger, Chief Brand Officer of arena. "This partnership reaffirms our brand as the ultimate benchmark for distance swimmers. From Oussama Mellouli to Gregorio Paltrinieri, arena has a historic legacy of supporting legendary talent in these grueling disciplines."
‘’Joining the arena family is a dream come true. Growing up, I watched some of the greatest distance swimmers in history wear arena - from Ous Mellouli to Gregorio Paltrinieri- and now having the opportunity to represent the brand means the world to me.” said Ahmed Jaouadi. ‘’I'm grateful for the trust arena has placed in me, and I'm determined to honor that confidence every time I race. To be the best, you must surround yourself with the best, and I couldn't ask for a better partner as I take on this next chapter. I can't wait to represent arena on the world stage, starting with the World Championships in Beijing this December.”
Through this partnership, arena will support Jaouadi as he prepares for his next major international competitions beginning this summer at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto.
